Nias fun bike.

Nias. Indonesia.

This weekend marked 10 years since the earthquake and tsunami devastated Nias Island. Ten years on and Nias is a boom town with structural development, internet, gadgets shops and a whole bunch of rather funky, wonderfully coloured push bikes. Yesterday we joined locals for a leisurely cruise down the coast for the ‘Nias funbike.’ Fun times.

Chris & Karinda & co. III

Fremantle. Western Australia.

While on a speed visit back to Perth I had the privilege of catching up with, and photographing this beautiful family. I think its been almost 13 years since our first family shoot together, its always such a pleasure to catch up at intervals and freeze a few moments in time. Thanks Chris & Karinda for the honor.

This time we headed back to my old haunt, Pakenham st in Fremantle and took some time to grab a drink at Bread in Common. Oh Fremantle, you know how to pull my heart strings.

Krystle - Oh my! Beautiful!!

Sima + Jernih

Nias. Indonesia

I had the privilege of photographing this beautiful bride, Sima, along with her friends and family, as they celebrated the second day of her wedding. Weddings in Nias are generally spread over 3 days, starting with a church ceremony, followed by a ceremony at the brides home then finally a ceremony at the grooms family house which usually becomes her new home.
